A friend of mine dressed her two little girls in outfits with matching fabrics, they were obviously adorable but I was broody for the prints…

“Inspire your little ones with interiors and childrenswear reminiscent of nature, exotic travels and storybook narratives.”
House of Hackney London, a British brand championing inspiring prints, has finally released a children’s collection. The collection includes fabric, wallpaper, clothing and home accessories. Prints include work from the brand’s own studio as well as from Charles Voysey’s archives, an English architect and textile designer. HoH has also teamed up with London-based childrenswear brand La Coqueta to create the clothing range.
Collections: Voysey’s Garden
Voysey’s Garden is a floral, whimsical print, reworked from the V&A’s archives to include a Victorian stripe. The designers had a contemporary children’s nursery in mind. Voysey first created the print in 1926, with British plants, insects and birds.
Alice in Wonderland
In Wonderland is another print adapted from C.F.A. Voysey’s V&A archives. The fun, colourful print, first made in the 1920s, depicts well-loved Alice In Wonderland characters. The pattern has been reworked with a gingham background for a more contemporary feel.
One of HoH’s most well-known prints, Palmeral, ‘pays homage to Loddiges, one of the world’s largest palm houses based in Hackney during the Georgian period.’ It’s been used in many of their collections, and now is ready for children to be stylish in summer.
Little HoH also uses sweet animal prints, evoking childlike wonder for the natural world. Most of these are available across the interiors collection.
