Happy New Year from The Print Affair! To celebrate, we’ve put together a list of things to look forward to in terms of print design this year, such as fairs, exhibitions and trends. Have anything to add? Write it in the comments section!
The London Textile Fair
This time Sublitex Miroglio will be exhibiting in the Main Textile hall rather than with the Print Studios, on Stand M10 Textile floor, at Islington Design Centre 13-14 January.
Sublitex Fast Fashion Spring Summer 2016 Collection
We’re already looking forward to the warmer weather, as well as the trends of Spring Summer 2016. Here’s a reminder of what’s to come from Sublitex in their Fast Fashion Spring Summer 2016 Collection, as shown at their offices in Dock Leicester back in November. The sophisticated, feminine florals really caught our eye.
Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear
A new exhibition at the V&A will be looking at what lies beneath our clothes, from corsets to Calvin Kleins!
Pre Fall 2016 Collections

As each Pre Fall 2016 show comes out, we get more excited for the season ahead. Some of our favourites include the embroidered ‘grandma chic’ of Alice + Olivia and the romantic elegance of Erdem. Keep an eye out for more on our favourite collections.
Opening Up The Pattern Books
The Silk Museum in Macclesfield is opening up their large collection of silk pattern books that haven’t been seen by the public before, collected as each silk mill went out of business. Starts Saturday 6th Feb and ends Saturday 14th May. Read more here.
Fashion and Textile Museum
And don’t forget…the Liberty show is still on at the Fashion & Textiles museum until February 28th, as well as The Art Of Pattern, with Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell for Liberty 1961–77.
