While on holiday this summer in Tuscany I visited the magnificient fortified city of San Gimignano. In one of the delightful squares, Piazza della Cisterne, we bought what claimed to be the best ice cream in the world from the shop of a flamboyant gentleman.
I came upon an interesting boutique right next door to Monsignor Gelato. It was quite out of place sandwiched between the above and tourist tat shops brimming with venetian carnival masks, postcards, Murano glass animals and the like.
This shop was small and understated and had an exquisite collection of digital prints.
Louise is Swedish and designs and manufactures all her garments in Tuscany, Italy where she has been living since 1993.
She must be some smart lady to have built a small business in one of the most beautiful places in the world, with a captive audience, no competition in the vicinity, heavy foot traffic 6 months of the year located next door to the best ice cream in the world.
