With recent graduates going into jobs at Matthew Williamson, H&M, Zara, and even with Victoria Beckham, Nottingham Trent is one to watch for fashion and print design. Backstage at Graduate Fashion Week was the perfect opportunity to see this year’s graduate collections before they went on the catwalk.
Lauren Anderson
Lauren Anderson’s collection was a floral delight. The mix of spots and floral patterns work perfectly together for this unique, creative collection.
Ella Nesbitt
Ella won two awards at GFW, and rightfully so! Her amazing Hawaiian inspired collection helped her to bring home the Menswear and the Stuart Peters Visionary Knitwear Award.
Samantha Goldsmith
The knitwear collection by Samantha Goldsmith was daring and powerful. The bright colours contrast beautifully with the black, and the tribal print is very in right now.
Yvonne Yao
The menswear collection by Yvonne Yao was crisp and sharp with bold stripes. The angular bags complete the look.
Naomi Kleeli
Another knitwear collection that stood out was by Naomi Kleeli:
“Naomi Kleeli… chose to conceptualise the outdoors with earthy tones offset with marbled and barked effect print work.” – Sophia Williams on themetropolist.com
