Alannah spent some time talking to some of Nottingham Trent’s Fashion Marketing students about their favourite A/W ’15 trends:

Emma, a Fashion Marketing student, and I were loving the bohemian trend that has taken over the catwalks. Many designers were inspired by the hippy, floral prints and bright colours, ready for festival season. Two main things we learnt from the catwalks are that florals aren’t just for spring, and layering is everything! Here are some of our favourite looks from Fashion Week.

Anna Sui

Anna Sui’s ditsy floral prints filled dresses, flared trousers and jumpsuits creating a hippy’s paradise on the catwalk. Fringing was the perfect add-on to finish off the look. Pinks, reds and oranges were some of the favoured tones.

Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson’s collection was full of what he does best – creating a girly, fantasy world with swirls and flowing fabrics. Teals and pinks were filled with embroidery and beading – perfect for the bohemian trend.

Dries Van Noten

Dries Van Noten is the master of effortlessness and created his own version of the bohemian trend. The deep, royal colours fit well with the regally flowing dresses and trench coats. Feathers and flowers polished off this bohemian look.

We also looked at two designers we had not heard much about. Fashion students are always looking to be inspired by new designers, and these two got our vote:

Giamba

The bright, floral and leafy prints and flowing dresses from Giamba’s collection shows another bohemian influenced designer. The soft yellows and purples blocked with black create beautiful silhouettes and interesting designs. We also see the psychedelic swirls, a big trend this season.
